Andrew Ridgeley Briefly Went Into F3 Motor Racing After Wham! Broke Up According to The Race, following the break-up of Wham! in 1986, Ridgeley moved to Monaco and dabbled in Formula Three motor racing. He was determined to pursue his passion and believed professional racing would be his next career.
During an Albi circuit in September, Ridgeley was involved in a six-car melee. He wasn't injured, but the accident hospitalized quite a few of those involved. Shortly after the incident, Ridgeley quit Formula Three motor racing and moved to the United States for a short while before returning to England in the 1990s.
