Sex Education has 'finished' but the cast hasn't.
After a vibrant, raunchy four-season run, Netflix’s coming-of-age hit Sex Education has finally closed its doors to viewers. With its talented ensemble led by stalwarts like Gillian Anderson and newer stars like Asa Butterfield, the teen comedy-drama dabbled in taboos about all the iffy stuff that adolescents struggle with in high school. Critical acclaim was targeted at most aspects, but casting did play an integral role behind its hype.
The Sex Education lead will also be appearing in the amusingly titled College Republicans, ensuring that Butterfield’s tryst with campus politics narratives continues. Yet again, Butterfield is in good company considering he’ll be sharing space with Percy Jackson star Logan Lerman for this project that is in pre-production. Additionally, he will also be returning to streaming giant Prime Video for a sequel to his 2022 holiday rom-com Your Christmas or Mine.
6 Connor Swindells Sex Education’s Adam underwent a major character change throughout the series, being introduced as a conventional bully and later evolving into a soft-spoken boy who struggles to find an aim in his life. As for the actor playing Adam, Connor Swindells still has his career trajectory sorted out for himself.
4 Mimi Keene British actress Mimi Keene had an eventful 2023 having played the snobbish and self-confident Ruby Matthews in Sex Education for one last time. Just over a week before the final season began streaming, Keene starred in After Everything, the fifth and last installment of the After series of romantic dramas . Keene played Nathalie, a former lover interest of Hero Fiennes Tiffin’s protagonist.
