William Ragsdale as Charley Brewster A fresh face at the time of the movie's release, Ragsdale won the part of the movie's hero, a teenager desperately trying to prove his neighbor's a vampire and stop him from claiming more victims. Ragsdale followed Fright Night starring in its since reappraised sequel. In 1991, he led four seasons of the Fox sitcom Herman's Head. He later featured on the show Ellen, and led a short-lived ABC sitcom called Brother's Keeper.
Roddy McDowall as Peter Vincent In Fright Night, McDowall, known for the Planet of the Apes series, gained new fans as Peter Vincent, a former movie star turned horror TV program host. Prior to this, his illustrious 40-year career included roles in nearly 100 films, TV shows, including a part in the Academy Award Winning How Green Was My Valley. He earned a Golden Globe nomination opposite Elizabeth Taylor in Cleopatra, and a Tony Award for his work on Broadway.
Stephen Geoffreys as "Evil Ed" Thompson The same year he starred as Charley's misfit friend "Evil Ed" in Fright Night, Stephen Geoffreys led the cast of the film Fraternity Vacation opposite Tim Robbins, as well as appearing the following year in an episode of The Twilight Zone. The '90s saw him star in a string of gay pornographic films, before returning to mainstream cinema with the indie horror Sick Girl in 2007.
