Heading into the last weekend of the preseason, there was no shortage of NFL news yet again—though a lot of it was unfortunately injury related.
The biggest storylines came out of America’s most high-profile team—who doesn’t seem to have a solid direction heading into 2022. The Dallas Cowboys have suffered multiple blows to their offense over the last couple weeks and the latest could be the straw that breaks the camel’s back… or knee… before the season even begins.
It all boils down to unpreparedness for Dallas. Their lack of depth is now on full display but even more puzzling is their unwillingness to do anything about it. From Jerry and Stephen Jones on down, the message has been that the organization has confidence in its current personnel . And though Prescott is a top-10 quarterback in the NFL, the expectations now being placed on him are completely unrealistic.
