England legend Stuart Pearce believes the Three Lions can go all the way in Qatar ENG FIFAWorldCup
Qatar 0-2 Ecuador LIVE: ‘Sunday league’ hosts lose opener as Valencia fires double'Families screaming' as riot police deployed to Doha fan park during World Cup openerMartial 'involved in training ground bust-up' with Man United youngsterDon’t just take our word for it, though, as England legend Stuart Pearce believes we can go all the way in Qatar. We’re certainly not going to argue with ‘Psycho’.
“So it’s there and for me and we’re on an upward curve. People have a tainted mentality because of the Nation’s League, I think the results had a lot to do with COVID and the Euros and the players having to play 60/70 odd games and four games in eight days last summer was a big ask for a lot of international teams.”It’s not only past England heroes that believe there is a genuine chance that the Three Lions will be lifting the trophy on December 18.
“Our goal is to go that one more step and win it and make the country proud. That’s all of our goals and we are going to do everything we can to try and achieve that.”The days of constant disappointment at major tournaments seem to be over for England. And with the sheer glut of young, exciting talent at our disposal there is hope that it will continue for years, if not decades, to come.
The biggest question marks remain are over the defence, especially with Reece James and Ben Chilwell missing out through injury.
