Arguing with one's boss without listening to them is never a good idea. Before the two crew members lashed out at each other, Tumi tried to explain her side. She said, “I’m not talking about you, I’m talking about the actual boat itself.
Not only did Natalya bad mouth the South African native in her confessionals, but she also purposely tried to ruin her reputation among other crew members. She told her co-workers that Tumi was “a f***ing bitch,” without considering the consequences. A functional workspace requires everyone to be on the same page. However, Natalya’s remarks could have led her co-workers to hold prejudice toward Tumi as well.
