A visit to Crich Tramway Village is a step back in time and provides a wholesome day out for the family
If you are looking for an experience with a difference, then head to an incredible experience of a bygone era, where you can explore vintage trams, learn and play whilst enjoying the magic and nostalgia of the 1920's.
A regular visitor to the site, David Sadler said: “It was exciting, but a bit nerve-wracking when you're in control of a tram, it is something entirely different to do.The experience is a full day, with theory and safety and then a hands-on afternoon at the controls of one of the fleet. “I've been a few times. It's just friendly. A lot of the staff here are volunteers and they just do it for enjoyment. They seem to have a great time. We always have a great time.”
Visit the ‘Century of Trams’ exhibition, a fascinating journey through a hundred years of tramway development, from 1860–1960, taking in horse trams, steam trams and electric trams.
