Wiens, a 2021 Olympian, placed fourth in the preliminary round before moving up to the podium with a final score of 492.80. Australia’s Cassiel Rousseau was first with 501.30.Monday, Wiens and Celina Toth placed fifth in the mixed synchronized 10m.The Canadian women’s team finished fourth at the IFAF women’s world football championship in Finland, after a semifinal loss to Great Britain and a third-place game loss to Finland.
The teams battled for 48 minutes, but with two seconds left on the clock Great Britain scored to break the tie, defeating the defending silver medallists 20-13 and sending Canada to Sunday’s bronze-medal game against Finland. Canada attempted the comeback, but wasn’t able to score the major or get within field goal range on the final possession of the game.
