“Scotland has seen a significant reduction in landfill waste, with over 56 per cent of waste recycled in 2021. The Scottish Government met its waste reduction target, and emissions from the waste management sector were 76 per cent lower than 1990. “It is crucial to have consumer and workplace safety on the face of the Bill. The recent terrible fire at the Linwood Industrial Estate drew this issue into sharp relief.
