Salford Precinct car park was taped off following the attack
Three people have been arrested after a 62-year-old man was stabbed in a supermarket car park. The victim was stabbed four times as he walked to his vehicle after shopping at the Aldi store near Salford Precinct.
The victim is a carer for his disabled father. At first it thought he was a victim of an attempt to steal his shopping but this has now been ruled out. "On that basis, we do not currently believe there is any wider risk to the community. We have a team of detectives dedicated to investigating numerous lines of enquiry in an effort to establish the motive and bring any offenders to justice. Uniformed and detective officers continue to patrol the local area, carry out further enquiries and are providing reassurance to the local community.
