Jet2 escorted Helen off the plane as she was planning to go to Rome with husband David
A woman says she was kicked off a flight and banned from travelling because she has diabetes and is going through the menopause. Helen Taylor was supposed to be flying to Rome with Jet2 but was asked to leave the plane.
"The air stewardess saw and asked, 'Are you alright?' and I said, 'I am perfectly fine, I had just eaten after not eating all day and I have Type 2 diabetes, so it is just my blood sugars releveling. All I need is to sit down and have a drink of water and I will be perfectly fine.' "But she came back again 10 minutes later and said, 'We've made a decision that you are going to have to leave the aircraft, we think you are a flight risk.'Helen spoke to the captain who she claims agreed she looked well enough to fly but backed the decision of the cabin crew member that she had to get off the plane, reports ChronicleLive.
Helen said she had tried to contact Jet2 multiple times, both at the airport on Monday and in the subsequent days to complain and get a refund for the £1,800 break.
