The anonymous woman took to Mumsnet to share how 'hurt' she was that her family members had chosen to take up the sofa for the whole of Christmas Day and not offered her a seat.
It's not uncommon for Christmas to be a tight squeeze in the house sometimes as extended families all pile in to celebrate the big day together. While it's not the most comfortable of situations, the special gathering only happens once a year and is not enough to spoil the festive celebrations, the Mirror reports.
In the post, she explained: "Not sure if I'm overreacting but I just feel so hurt. When I spend Christmas Day at my parents there aren't enough chairs in the living room for everyone. "My sister, brother-in-law, mother, and aunt are all fit and able-bodied and just as capable as me as sitting on the floor, but they just kept the comfortable seats for themselves all day. " Looking for some advice, she questioned: "Am I being unreasonable to feel so disappointed that on Christmas Day my family were just happy to see me on the floor all day?"
