The cause of a fire that killed a Centerville woman on Wednesday night is under investigation, according to authorities.
According to the South Davis Metro Fire, the fire broke out shortly before 8 p.m. in one unit at Cedar Springs Condominiums near 88 W. 50 South. When firefighters arrived, they found flames shooting from the home.
The fire was extinguished within 15 minutes, and when firefighters entered the condo they found the body of a woman. Her name has not been released. Five or six other units were damaged, displacing several residents, according to South Davis Metro Fire. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
