The woman was taken to hospital as police made two arrests
Merseyside Police were called to Netherton after reports of a dog attack at around 5.45pm on Friday, August 18. It was reported that a woman, in her 40s, went to pet the Rottweiler dogs, who were on a lead, on Park Lane West when they bit her multiple times on the arms and leg.
The dog owners, a man and a woman, tried to release the Rottweilers from the victim. The man then took the dogs away from the scene while the female owner stayed with the victim until police arrived.Officers gave the woman first aid until an ambulance arrived and took her to hospital. A 41-year-old man and a 68-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of being in charge of a dangerously out of control dog in a public place.
