Los Angeles police are working to identify the driver of a pickup that struck and killed a woman Thursday in the North Hollywood/Sun Valley area.
An older model Mitsubishi Mighty Max two-tone blue pickup truck, traveling southbound on Laurel Canyon at Keswick Street, ran a red light around 8:30 p.m., the Los Angeles Police Department said in a news release.The driver did not provide aid and instead kept driving the truck southbound on Laurel Canyon towards Saticoy Street, police said.
The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the scene and transported the victim to a hospital, where she died. The 55-year-old victim’s name was not immediately released.Anyone who may have witnessed or have information regarding the collision was asked to contact Valley Traffic Division Detective Davis at 644-8032 or 644-8000.
