A Staten Island woman fatally stabbed herself and knifed her husband and son when they tried to stop her Sunday night, according to cops and law enforcement sources. The woman, who was in her 60s, stabbed her 67-year-old husband in the stomach and her 41-year-old son in the leg when they attempted to wrestle a knife away from her inside their Blythe Place home at around 10:15 p.m., authorities and sources said.
She managed to stab herself in the chest and was pronounced dead at the hospital, according to police and sources. Her exact age was not yet known early Monday.It’s unclear if the woman attempted to intentionally harm her relatives or if they inadvertently suffered injuries during the attempted intervention, the NYPD said.
