Woman told nurse 'sorry' as she fell ill from fatal overdose on Prestwich mental health ward, inquest hears
The jury in the inquest of a 22-year-old woman who ordered tablets from online pharmacies and took them into a Prestwich mental health unit has been sent out to deliberate.
Her mum Leena said Ania had first suffered mental health issues around the age of 12 and previously attempted to take her own life around the time of her GCSEs and A-levels. Ania again suffered with her mental health in February 2020, following exams. The court heard from five pharmacists who worked at four different online pharmacies that Ania had contacted for prescriptions of the same drug in 2020 and 2021. She filled in questionnaires on each of the sites used, and each time did not give consent for the details to be shared to her GP.
