The body of 28-year-old Phoenix Netts was discovered in suitcases after police officers stopped two people walking along a road.
Officers from Gloucestershire Police had found her body near the English-Welsh border on Tuesday night at 11.30pm near the A4136 between Coleford, in Gloucestershire and Monmouth, in Wales.Gareeca Conita Gordon, 27, from Birmingham, has been charged with murdering Ms Netts.
Officers from Gloucestershire Police have been working closely with colleagues from West Midlands police, with the latter now leading the murder investigation. "Our specialist family liaison officers are working with the 28-year-old's family at this devastating time."A statement released on behalf of Phoenix's family reads:"As a family we are devastated with what has happened to Phoenix.
