The boy is the biological son of one of the women, investigators said.

Two women previously convicted of locking an 8-year-old boy in a room in a Brick Township home day and night with no access to a bathroom, no lights and no furniture over several months were sentenced Friday, authorities said.

Police and child protection officials were called to their home on Jan. 9, 2016 for a wellness check on the 8-year-old boy, the office. Jung and Morris lived at the house with three children. The 8-year-old is the biological son of Morris.
