A FIFA spokesman confirmed Tuesday that local organizers are in the process of reallocating randomly separated seats that had been purchased together.

Over the weekend, some fans noticed that their ability to print out those tickets had “disappeared.” “There’s a holding position at the moment,” the FIFA spokesman Will Shand said. “It’s part of the … resolving the issues of different customers and those group orders.” Following widespread criticism, FIFA backtracked. Fans with separated seats are being urged to contact organizers via phone or email so tickets can be reallocated before fans arrive at the stadium.
