This is not a drill! The pothole-ridden road will finally be fixed! 🙌
In phase 1, the road will shut from the traffic lights at the junction with Longspring up to 128 Gammons Lane, which is near the Callowland Recreation Ground bus stops. This will be July 31 and August 1.
Phase 2 will be in place on August 2 and 3 and stretch from 128 Gammons Lane to the roundabout with Howard Close.On August 8, 9, 10 and 11 the road will be closed from Leaford Crescent to the junction with Chilcott Road.Finally, various locations will be shut in the road on August 14 and 15 for gully cleaning, road markings, and other work grouped together as phase 6.
The councillor used his highways budget to pay for part of the road to be resurfaced last year but has been pushing for the rest to be done by Herts Highways.
