Ironically, these developments would make Golladay’s contract an excellent deal had the former Northern Illinois standout been producing the No. 1 receiver numbers the ex-regime hoped he would.
It’s a fate-deciding campaign for Jones at quarterback, who is entering the final season of his four-year rookie contract following Schoen’s decision to decline his fifth-year option. In theory, possessing a potentially dominant boundary receiver like Golladay should help Jones reach new heights . The Giants could use better receiver play in 2022. Whether it comes from Golladay or not, the Giants’ coaching staff has no choice but to continue working with him.
