Comedian Matt Richardson is one of the first to appear
The Big Shed at the Trent Navigation in Nottingham has earned a reputation as one of the best spots to watch sport on the giant screen. Now after all the euphoria and the lows of the Euros, it's out to give fans a laugh with the launch of new monthly live comedy nights.
Laughter Loft is bringing top-tier comedy talent to the city, promising laughter-filled evenings featuring some of the best comedians on the circuit. The first event is on Thursday, August 22. Each month, audiences can expect three stand-up comedians from the live scene, TV and radio, along with a charismatic compere to tie the evening together.Tickets are priced £15 per person. The show kicks off at 8pm but attendees can enjoy food beforehand and drinks from the pub and the outdoor bars throughout the evening.
The line-up for the first event includes Matt Richardson, an award-winning stand-up comedian, who has appeared on TV shows such as Celebrity Juice and Never Mind The Buzzcocks. He will be joined by Lou Conran, who has garnered rave reviews for her style of wit. Proud northerner and working-class gay man, Stephen Bailey, is known for his gossipy humour, having hosted Live at the Apollo and appeared in shows Unbreakable, Would I Lie To You, Love Island: Aftersun and Channel 5's comedy-drama The Madame Blanc Mysteries.
