The masked luchador was honoured alongside referee Tim White, entertainer Andy Kaufman, iconic diva Stacy Keibler and pioneer The Great Muta in a varied and deserving class of 2023. Despite the brief foray into the current storylines, Rey’s speech was an emotional rollercoaster from start to finish as he recounted his beginnings in the business learning from his uncle Rey Mysterio Sr. The live crowd was hanging on his every word, breaking into chants – with some of the loudest reactions coming at the mention of the late, great Eddie Guerrero.
