Wayne Rooney was in attendance at WWE Live on Friday night and was on the receiving end of a brutal dig from former champion Drew McIntyre
Manchester United icon Wayne Rooney was left open to a cheeky jab about his age by wrestling superstar Drew McIntyre during a recent WWE live show.
"We're two British icons, I'm only British WWE champion three times" McIntyre announced. However, the tribute quickly shifted as the wrestler launched a witty comment at Rooney stating: "He's smashed football but aren't we the same age? What happened to you? ". Rooney, after a heated exchange with the wrestler, slapped Barrett across the face, sending him tumbling to the mat. While Rooney has never seriously considered a career in professional wrestling, he did hint at an interest in boxing with Misfits.
