A yellow warning for rain will come into effect across the east coast of the country from 8pm to noon on Thursday, Septmeber 26. The forecaster said: 'Heavy rain may lead to some flooding and transport disruption in places.' The Met Office outlook for Wednesday into Thursday reads: 'Mainly dry and clear but a few showers for southeastern areas with more cloud here.
Rain spreading into the east during the night turning showery by dawn, fresh easterly winds. Minimum temperature 6 °C. 'Cloudy with outbreaks of rain at first but becoming a dry and bright afternoon with sunny spells, turning colder in freshening northerly winds. Maximum temperature 12 °C.'
