Several Yorkshire and Lincolnshire beaches are affected, campaign group Surfers Against Sewage says.
Pollution alerts were issued for several beaches along the Yorkshire and Lincolnshire coastline, including at Cleethorpes
The Surfers Against Sewage charity said it put the alerts in place after several areas were affected since the weekend, including Bridlington North, Hornsea and Cleethorpes.It follows heavy rainfall after extremely dry weather. According to the alerts for each of the affected coastal sites in Yorkshire and Lincolnshire, "storm sewage has been discharged from a sewer overflow in this location within the past 48 hours".
