Aircraft fanatics are being offered the incredible chance to fly in an iconic Spitfire fighter plane over Lancashire this weekend.
The Spitfire will be flying different routes from Blackpool Airport across the North West from Friday, April 26 to Monday, April 29. In a rare opportunity, members of the public are being offered a opportunity to fly in the Spitfire, an original two-seater training variant. There's a limited number of flights on offer, with slots of 30, 45 and 55 minutes available. Spectators will be able to watch the aircraft arrive and depart from Blackpool airport, with regular flights scheduled for 9.30am, 11.30am, 1.30pm and 3.30pm throughout the entire weekend.
