Daniel Acker / BloombergBandon Lingle’s column nailed some of the many problems we have today. We have become a nation, and possibly a world, of misinformation and misdirection. Outrage and denial take precedence over common sense and cooperation. The enemy “is those other guys.”
Just look at what happened to U.S. Rep. Liz Cheney and many other GOP representatives when they had the gumption to vote to impeach Trump or expose his efforts to retain the presidency. Many of them have retired or been defeated. What does that say about us? Have we really become that divisive in such a short time?
