Zayn Malik is reportedly keen on a One Direction reunion, a whole decade after his departure from the chart-topping boyband. The 31 year old singer left fans gobsmacked when he decided to leave One Direction and pursue a solo career.
His exit from the group, attributed to "stress" preceded One Direction's pause on activities less than a year later. Now, as a father, Zayn is looking to rekindle the close bond they once enjoyed, according to sources. They assured a working relationship isn't a concern for Zayn right now, he simply wants to "be friends again". The pop star was just 17 years old when One Direction was formed and following his exit, admitted he just wanted to be a "normal 22-year-old," reports the Mirror.
Zayn faced personal battles such as an eating disorder during his time in One Direction and experienced panic attacks leading to cancelled solo appearances. A rough patch in 2021 saw him entering a no contest plea to harassment charges against Gigi's mum Yolanda Hadid.
