Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said he believes a visit from President Joe Biden can and will happen.
The leader indicated that he would welcome a presidential trip to his country, even though the White House has previously cited security concerns impeding Biden's travel to Ukraine amid Russia's invasion, during an interview with CNN's Jake Tapper.
"I think he will," Zelensky said in the interview that aired Sunday."It's his decision, of course, and about the safety situation, depends, but I think the leader of the United States, that's why he should come here to see."Biden had previously expressed disappointment that he could not travel to Ukraine himself, citing ongoing security concerns in the country.
