BBC Radio 2 presenter Zoe Ball, 53, has sparked concern with listeners after she was replaced with Gaby Roslin 'at the last minute'
Zoe Ball left her BBC Radio 2 fans puzzled this morning as they tuned in to hear Scott Mills' voice instead, without explanation. It's once again raised eyebrows as the 53 year-old has only just returned to the Zoe Ball Breakfast Show.
Starting the beginning of the show, Scott who normally presents the afternoon show joked: "You weren't expecting me were you? If you set your alarm every morning to go off at 6.30 and normally Zoe comes on please do not freak out, you have not overslept until 2pm."Last Thursday, chart topper Will Young shared his excitement about joining Friday morning's show with a tweet saying: "Jumping in to album release day tomorrow on @bbcradio2. @zoetheball bring your swimmers.
But, instead of Zoe, it was Gaby who welcomed listeners at 6.30am without an on-air explanation for the switch. However, Gaby did give fans a heads-up from behind the scenes by posting on social media before airtime, "Hello there. I'm in for Zoe Ball from 6.30, which is in just a couple of minutes time."
