Briers announced in January that she and her husband welcomed their second child—a baby girl named Laine. Their first daughter, Tenley, was born in March 2020.Briers has been with the ABC 13 weather team since 2018. Prior to that, she was the chief meteorologist at KWES in Midland and began her career in Lubbock.
A native Texan, Briers was raised in the Dallas area and graduated from Texas A&M University, with a degree in Atmospheric Sciences. She also met her husband in college.
