Aberdeen's home match against Ross County will proceed as planned despite heavy snowfall in Aberdeen.
Aberdeen have confirmed their home clash with Ross County will go ahead despite heavy snow in the Granite City. The North-East has been battered by several inches of snow and plunging conditions overnight. The Dons have had the undersoil heating on and covers down to protect the Pittodrie pitch although fans have been urged to take care and allow extra time when attending the game.
An Aberdeen statement confirmed: ‘Preparations are well underway for this afternoon’s match and we look forward to welcoming you back to Pittodrie. Some roads are likely to be affected with longer journey times expected. Please take extra care and allow additional time for travelling to the match.’ Aberdeen are hoping the move into 2025 will bring a change in fortune. They still sit in third place in the Premiership table but haven’t won in their last eight games. That is something Jimmy Thelin and his players will be looking to put right against County this afternoon. The Dons could also have the incentive of going second with a win and if Celtic were to beat Rangers in the Glasgow derby. Aberdeen also beat County last time out with Kevin Nisbet netting a late winner up in Dingwall
