Ahead of this week's Modern Warfare 3 reveal, Activision has confirmed that the new Call of Duty game will be “a premium release” priced at $70. This year’s series entry was reportedly originally planned as a major expansion rather than a full game
claimed Activision had originally planned to release a major expansion for 2022’s Modern Warfare 2 this year, but that the DLC had morphed into a full game.
Citing people familiar with the project, it claimed Activision’s goal for the new Call of Duty was to make a game that feels “like a standalone, full-price release and also an extension of Modern Warfare II”.It plans to reveal the game on August 17
