Airbnb and the Louvre are offering the chance to win an overnight stay at this famous art museum.
"Paris is one of the most attractive cities in the world and the Louvre is one of the most loved and celebrated institutions in Paris," said Emmanuel Marill, general manager for Airbnb France, in a media statement. "We are thrilled to partner with them and to offer exciting and unique experiences that will celebrate our community and welcome Parisians and international travelers to rediscover the museum in a new and authentic way.
Through Airbnb, one winner and a guest can enjoy one night in April in the Louvre in Paris to themselves.Before falling asleep under a smaller model of the Louvre’s pyramid, the pair of guests will also get their own appreciation of art via a “bespoke tour.” Led by an art historian, this specially curated tour will involve a viewing of the Louvre’s priceless works such as the Mona Lisa; similar tours have been given previously to Beyoncé and Jay-Z and Barack and Michelle Obama.
Venus of Milo, the Greek goddess of love and beauty, will then “host” an extravagant feast in a pop-up dining room. Lastly, guests will be treated to an intimate acoustic concert in Napoleon III’s lavish Apartments. At the end of this very special evening, the winners will retire to their bedroom under the Pyramid for what promises to be a masterpiece of a sleepover.
