The former One Direction bandmates of Liam Payne are to attend his funeral, which is due to take place in the Home Counties today.
The news of the 31-year-old's passing caused an outpouring of grief and shock from public figures and fans around the globe. In a joint statement last month, One Direction said: "We're completely devastated by the news of Liam's passing. It has been reported that Payne had been in Buenos Aires to update his US visa and also watch pal Niall perform at the Movistar Arena. In a statement his family previously said: "We are heartbroken. Liam will forever live in our hearts and we’ll remember him for his kind, funny and brave soul." Three people have since been charged in connection with Liam's death. According to a translation of the statement issued by the public prosecutor’s office in Argentina, prosecutors said "exhaustive and meticulous measures were taken to clarify the circumstances" around the 31-year-old dad-of-one's death.
