Tennis star Andy Murray has confirmed he won't be joining the cast of Strictly Come Dancing, stating 'certainly not' to the idea. While dismissing his own participation, Murray hinted that his brother Jamie might be interested in the show. The upcoming season boasts a diverse lineup including Sarah Hadland, Shayne Ward, Tasha Ghouri, and more.
Tennis ace Sir Andy Murray has confirmed to the PA news agency that he definitely won't be hitting the dance floor on Strictly Come Dancing , saying "certainly not" to the idea. The 37-year-old sportsman, who hung up his professional rackets last year, did however drop a hint that perhaps his brother Jamie also a force to be reckoned with on the tennis courts might fancy a twirl, as he chatted at the BMW PGA Championship Pro-AM in Surrey this Wednesday.
The upcoming cast set to sparkle on our screens includes Miranda's own Sarah Hadland, chart-topping Shayne Ward, Love Island sensation Tasha Ghouri, quick-footed Montell Douglas, EastEnders ' heartthrob Jamie Borthwick, swimming champ Tom Dean, and everyone's favourite Morning Live doctor, Punam Krishan, reports the Mirror.
BBC director general Tim Davie revealed that the corporation is "pretty close to the end" of its investigation into allegations of abuse on the show while speaking at the Royal Television Society London Convention on Tuesday.
