Arne Slot 's bizarre corner routine has caught the eye during pre-season. The Liverpool boss has adopted a new system that has got fans wondering why the Reds are not lined up in typical fashion. During the 4-1 victory over Sevilla at Anfield on Sunday, the strange-looking set up was used in full effect. In the 60th minute, Liverpool had a corner and it was quite clear how the Reds wanted to hurt their opponents.
From a defensive situation, Sevilla appeared to go zonal but looked out of sorts when the likes of Van Dijk and Quansah were steaming in and trying to get on the end of the cross. With Darwin Nunez and Ibrahima Konate also adding height to the mix, Slot's new corner system could cause trouble this season. The Reds ended up running out comfortable 4-1 winners against Sevilla. Diogo Jota gave the Reds the lead before a quick-fire brace from Luis Diaz put them in total control.
