BBC Breakfast presenter Ben Thompson had to issue an on-air apology to weather presenter Carol Kirkwood Tuesday morning following his attempt at a weather prediction. Chatting with co-host Sally Nugent, Ben remarked, "So now that the Bank Holiday weekend is over, the weather is getting really good."While Carol saw the humour in it, she cautioned: "That is not the forecast by the way," before proceeding with the actual weather update for the coming days.
"Aw, bless you, Ben," Carol laughed off the mishap, while Ben concluded with a cheerful, "See you soon.", reports the Express. From her account, Carol tweeted on X, "Good morning," alongside a photo indicating the current week's temperature readings, noting, "Relatively mild start this morning. This time yesterday, the temperature in Aboyne in Aberdeenshire was 4C! ".
Her followers were quick to jump into the comments section to discuss the weather where they were, with one fan sharing, "Morning Carol. Still dark here in Spain. Another half an hour then we can walk the dog. Say hello to Ratta. Have a good day.""Good Morning Carol hope you enjoy your day," one viewer expressed, while another sent their regards: "Good morning Carol, have a terrific Tuesday, stay safe and take care.
