Black Lives Matter UK gives away £350,000 to Black-led groups by LeahMahon_
BLACK LIVES Matter UK has given away up to £350,000 to Black-led organisations across the country in efforts to fight racial inequality.
Now in their second round funding, ten groups have been funded as a part of the Development Fund which has provided grants of up to £10,000 to organisations that have been operating for less than five years, who have struggled to access funding and have an annual income of less than £50,000. These included the Afruika Bantu Saturday School, Out & Proud LGBTI and Manchester Migrant Solidarity.
BLMUK raised just over £1.2 million in donations from over 36,300 people in 2020 during their first round of funding.
