Stand-up comic Colin Higgins, who is from Carluke, took an unexpected trip to the hospital where he needed stitches after an audience member allegedly struck him.
A comedian performing at the Fringe festival was forced to make an unexpected journey to hospital to have his mouth stitched after being attacked by a member of the audience after his set.
The funny man who is performing Painspotting at Leith Depot during the Festival, had just come off stage when the altercation occurred, the Daily Record reports. Management called the police and Colin needed hospital treatment. He added: “It’s still very painful but the show must go on. I’ll be left with a nasty scar.
Colin said: “If he starts giving me the side eye or looks like he’s fitting me up for a wooden overcoat, I’m off that stage and on my toes that’s for sure!”
