Defender Jamal Lewis joins Sao Paulo on loan from the Magpies
Bruno Guimaraes has passed his well-wishes on to Jamal Lewis after the Northern Ireland international completed a loan move to Sao Paulo.
The Championship outfit didn't take up the option to sign the fullback on a permanent basis leaving Lewis to look at other options. Brazilian Guimaraes, who played alongside Lewis at St James Park, reacted to the defender's post as he wished the former Norwich City man well following his switch to the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A. The midfielder posted: “Good luck mate.” “When I heard about this opportunity, I immediately told my agent that I wanted to come to Brazil," he told the club website. “It’s an opportunity I couldn’t pass up. I’m looking forward to meeting the fans and contributing to the team.
