V, one of the seven singers in the globe-ruling pop outfit, debuts his new single “Christmas Tree” at No. 1 on the Digital Song Sales chart, easily landing the bestselling tune in the largest music market in the world as the new year begins. The seasonal smash opens with a little more than 23,500 copies sold, according to information shared by MRC Data .
This week, “Christmas Tree” conquers the Digital Song Sales chart by a healthy margin. The second-bestselling tune in the country, Gayle’s “abcdefu,” only managed to sell 11,000 copies. While V’s first-week sales sum certainly isn’t one of the largest in recent memory, this frame has turned out to be somewhat quiet, a fact which has helped him earn an important placement.
“Christmas Tree” marks V’s second trip to the Digital Song Sales chart, and this latest cut is now his highest-ranking, and, of course, his first leader. The South Korean superstar almost ran the show in 2020 with his solo single “Sweet Night,” which only missed out on the throne by one space.
