The Cardinals have another positive test.
Another St. Louis Cardinal tested positive for COVID-19 and Friday's game against the Chicago Cubs at Busch Stadium has been postponed, Major League Baseball announced Friday, the latest blow to a season that looked ready to resume in full for the first time in 12 days.
It was not immediately clear whether the current positive test was traced to the previous outbreak that sidelined key players like catcher Yadier Molina and shortstop Paul DeJong. The incubation period for the novel coronavirus ranges from two to 13 days. If the Cardinals are able to make up Friday's postponement with a doubleheader against the Cubs this weekend, it would mark the first of six doubleheaders they'll have to play to make up all their postponements.
