Construction of a new 71,000-square-foot, three-story Cardiovascular Institute Health Center on the Edward Hospital campus in Naperville is underway.
The health center at 10 W. Martin Ave. will help meet the community’s needs for outpatient cardiac care, Curt Pascoe, vice president of real estate development for Ryan Cos., said in a news release. The center will have two catheterization laboratories, diagnostic imaging and cardiac rehabilitation and will feature caregivers from NorthShore-Edward-Elmhurst Health, Cardiac Surgery Associates and Midwest Cardiovascular Institute, the release said.
The 374-acre site is a historically intact former 1840s farm and teamster inn being restored as an 1840s working farm museum by volunteers and donors from around the country, museum officials said. The St. Charles Natural Resources Commission is hosting its annual Pumpkin Smash event from 9 a.m. to noon Nov. 4 at the St. Charles Public Works Facility, 1405 S. Seventh Ave. in St. Charles. Participants can toss, smash, roll or simply drop off pumpkins to be composted, officials said. State Rep.
