A couple visiting Cave Hill in the north of the city were shocked when they came across the South American Boa
A huge boa constrictor snake was discovered at a well-known Belfast walking route on Sunday afternoon.Luckily a man nearby who keeps snakes as pets was able to catch the snake in a pillowcase and handed it over to animal rescue experts from NI Exotic Sanctuary. “I live quite locally to the area so I went up to see what I could do after seeing it on social media,” Lindsey said.“He handed me the snake in a bag, luckily it was a gentleman who keeps snakes himself so he was confident handling it and he had brought a pillowcase with him to catch it in. The snake is now recovering in Lindsey’s rescue shelter, with the group hoping to return the snake to its owners.“We’ll keep it safe here and keep it warm and fed for a month to give an owner a chance to come forward and claim it.
“I would hate to think that someone dumped it up there as that would be condemning it to a slow, painful death.
