Police are at the scene of a road traffic collision in Blackburn this morning . Crossfield Street has been closed in both directions.
Blackburn with Darwen Police say the road is likely to be shut 'for some time'. They are calling on motorists travelling in the road's vicitinty to seek alternative routes. The force's official Twitter account posted an alert about the incident just after midnight. The tweet read: "***ROAD CLOSED*** We are currently at the scene of a road traffic collision on Crossfield Street in Blackburn.
"The road is closed in both directions and will be for some time. Please find alternative routes and we will update you once the road has reopened." This is an unfolding incident. We will bring you more on the incident in the feed below as we get it.
