Gareth Bryan from Stirling was hit with a devastating blow that he will face months of waiting for surgery despite already living with two and half years of pain.
Gareth Bryan, 44, from Stirling, has hit out at NHS waiting lists and said he has been left trapped in his home since suffering a blood clot in August 2021.
Gareth, who said he lives with "indescribable pain" told the Record: "This started with an almighty pain in my leg one day I had to drag myself home from the shops. I went back and forth to my GP for months but eventually the pain was so debilitating that I went to a private podiatrist. Gareth has since tried his best to move on with his life, but unfortunately, there has been severe nerve damage at his amputation site has his mobility so badly affected that he is unable to function day to day.
"I just want to get some quality of life back for myself and my kids. I'm missing out on so much with them. I'm desperate to get back to work and get my independence back.
