Officer Barron Cooper was terminated during a disciplinary hearing, while a different officer, Aaron Cagle, was suspended for 20 days.

Revised at 6:57 p.m. to include additional details about the violations.

Officer Barron Cooper was terminated during a disciplinary hearing, police spokeswoman Kristin Lowman said. She said the officer also failed to complete required reports and didn’t notify a supervisor about his involvement in an accident while on-duty. Lowman declined to say when Cooper’s violations occurred.

Cagle’s interference charge was dismissed after he completed a pre-trial diversion program, according to court records, which also no longer showed the public intoxication charge. At the time of his arrest, he was assigned to the central business districtCooper and Cagle couldn’t be immediately be reached for comment. Both officers can appeal their discipline.
